Big Things are About to Happen Here at HorseHack.com

I’ll keep this short, sweet, and to the point. It’s time this industry changes. There are so many people out there with a passion for horses who might never be able to afford their own horse, go to horse shows, or even take lessons. And I refuse to accept this.

I want to see horse dreams come alive, regardless of how expensive our sport is.

We can’t help it that we fell in love with these costly animals, so let’s take action.

I made this blog at the beginning of 2016 with the end goal of creating this change. Now that I have gained many more viewers and followers, I feel like it’s time to really get things rolling.

I won’t give specifics right now, but I promise you that everything will be known and written about soon, and that I will work incredibly hard for my fellow equestrians to achieve this goal.

For now, I just ask that you all join me in this change by liking the Facebook page, subscribing to the newsletters, telling your friends about HorseHack, and sharing posts as much as possible.

Eventing is One of the Least Popular Sports in the Olympics: Here’s What we Need to do About It

I’m honestly shocked eventing was even aired on national television this year. Happy. But shocked.

This is because we are one of the least watched sports in the Olympics and we might get pulled from the games in the coming years. Not cool.

We’re the only sport that involves an animal. We’re the only sport where each athlete has to compete in three completely different events just to win. And we’re also one of the oldest sports around!

So why are we so low in the viewers’ rankings? Here are my personal opinions on the matter: Continue reading “Eventing is One of the Least Popular Sports in the Olympics: Here’s What we Need to do About It”

eventing: do our horses really love it like we do

Eventing: Do Our Horses Really Love It Like We Do?

With the recent death of HHS Cooley, the eventing community mourns with Liz Halliday-Sharp. We are in a dangerous sport and yes we put ourselves and our horses at risk. When we lose a rider or horse, we all feel it. But the other day while I showed my family a video of Cooley and explained what happened, they made a statement that irked me. They said “It’s cruel to make those horses do that. How do you even know if they like it?” Continue reading “Eventing: Do Our Horses Really Love It Like We Do?”

To Love A Horse Girl

To love a horse girl means a lot of things. It means you have to be willing to give up weekends for horse shows, be okay with dirt, poop, and odd smells, sit through lessons where you don’t understand a single thing, listen to horse babble all the time, be a professional videographer (especially on show days), and most of all, know that you probably won’t come first. Our horses do. Continue reading “To Love A Horse Girl”
